Is Marijuana A Physical Or Mental Addiction? Weed, Pot, Ganja

Weed is a mental addiction. It is no different than being addicted to porn or the internet. But don't take my word for it, find out for yourself.

Here's a comment somebody made on this video which I agree with 100%:

"The act of smoking marijuana does not make you addicted like say smoking crack for the first time. Marijuana is habitual. Meaning it is habit forming. People in general have addictive personalities. Habitual addictions include things like coffee, candy, food, etc. Do we lambaste people who eat to much candy? Do we put them in jail? The problem is society. It is trying to dictate what's good and or what's bad for people to do."

Question of the day: How is marijuana addiction different than porn or internet addiction?

Stop Online Piracy Act News

1. A SOPA-Free Internet?

When people think of Internet 2, they think of an internet that is controlled by the government. Well in this case, it would be the opposite. The FAQ from Hackers Gobal Grid Explains:
If you’re in desperate need to communicate you do not care about watching videos on YouTube nor do you want to download the latest album of your favorite band to have the perfect soundtrack for whatever the hell you’re doing. You want to get a message out and receive updates. You want to inform and stay informed yourself. A first step will be providing bare-minimum communication infrastructure for that moment of feaco-rotary intersection that will hopefully never happen. But it did happen, several times during 2011 alone in several places. It will happen again.

Think twitter updates, not video streaming.
This sounds like a great alternative if the Stop Online Piracy Act goes through. On the other hand, it will almost be like hitting the reboot button on the internet. In other words, this new internet will be what this internet used to be like in the 1990's.

2. The Nuclear Option

For this next article, internet giants such as Google, Amazon, Facebook, and Twitter are considering  protesting the Stop Online Piracy Act by "going dark". In other words, they will suspend their services. This would be a great way to inform people about the Stop Online Piracy Act. All of these websites suspending their services would piss off a lot of people. But this anger is what we need to fight the Stop Online Piracy Act. For that reason, I like this idea.

3. GoDaddy No Longer Supports SOPA

Finally, it has been reported last week that Godaddy.com no longer supports the Stop Online Piracy Act. Apparently, because Go Daddy supported SOPA, there has been a "spike" in the number of domain transfers. It even reached a point where this company called their customers and begged them to stay. But in the end, Go Daddy has decided that supporting SOPA is bad for business.
